At Access Wealth Planning, we provide customized financial and investment plans that help guide you on your personal and financial journey. By asking strategic questions, we help you define your goals, and thus, your destination. We listen to what you define as important to you, assess where you are currently, and then create a financial plan (the roadmap) to guide you throughout your journey.  

Our only loyalty is to you – our client.  As your advocate, we provide independent and unbiased advice when developing your plan.  And because life is fluid, investment and financial plans must be too; so we communicate with you regularly and update plans as goals and circumstances change.  We have operated in this manner for more than 30 years and it continues to serve our clients well.

What to Expect at the First Meeting

The first meeting is an exploratory meeting.  It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share your expectations. We explain how our services can help you achieve your short- and long-term goals. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and tell us what you want out of life, as well as share your priorities, values, and concerns.  Knowing these things is critical to developing a successful plan that will guide you throughout your journey. This meeting goes beyond you just interviewing us; it’s meant to be a conversation that lays the foundation for a long-term relationship.

At the end of this meeting, we will know what you wish to achieve and you will understand how we can help you succeed. You are under no obligation to continue working with us and there is no charge for our time. 

What You Can Expect as an Access Wealth Planning Client

If we agree we are a good fit for each other, the next step is to provide us with the information needed to prepare your comprehensive plan. 

At our second meeting, we conduct a deeper dive into your feelings about your job, the financial markets, the legacy you would like to leave, and other topics to assist us in developing a plan that is specific to your needs. 

Typically at these meetings we address questions such as:

  • How can I reach my goals?
  • When can I retire?
  • Is my investment portfolio appropriate to meet my goals?
  • What legacy will I be able to leave my children?
  • Can I fund an education for my children or grandchildren?
  • Can I afford a second home?
  • How can I be financially independent?

Next, we implement a team approach to prepare an action plan with specific recommendations designed to meet your goals and objectives. The Access team of advisors includes highly credentialed financial professionals with diverse backgrounds, allowing us to consider different options and analyze their possible implications to your overall financial health. This holistic approach considers how each recommendation impacts the comprehensive plan as your journey progresses.

At the Plan Delivery Meeting (our third meeting), we spend as much time as necessary to ensure you are comfortable with the plan. It’s important that you understand the purpose of each recommendation and its potential impact on your personal and financial future.

Once you approve the recommendations, we implement or help you implement the strategies, as appropriate. If you wish, we are happy to discuss the plan with your other trusted advisors (e.g., an accountant or estate planning attorney). Having your entire advisory team on the same page greatly increases your likelihood of successfully meeting your goals.

The Importance of Ongoing Monitoring and Guidance

The initial financial plan captures your present and future goals. But financial planning is not a one-time event.  Circumstances, and consequently goals, often change. To support that, it is important to adapt your plan. As your financial advisors, we are there every step of the way, meeting with you as often as necessary to discuss the progress of your plan and how it aligns with your life journey and goals. You will also receive timely quarterly progress reports on your investment plan.
